Ingredients required for Idli
- Take three cups of parboiled rice.
- Take one cup of washed urad dal.
- Take 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Take 1/2 cup of curd and Eno.
A very good method of making Idli
To make Idli, wash rice and dal in clean water and soak them separately for 6 hours.
After this, grind both of them separately in a mixer and the rice should be slightly grainy.
Mix curd and salt in the ground rice and dal and beat it well.
If the batter starts thickening, then add a little water.
Keep the batter aside for 8 hours (to ferment and become sour).
After the batter becomes sour, apply oil on the idli mould and add half a teaspoon of Eno to the batter in the mould and pour one big spoonful of batter in the mould.
Heat two glasses of water in the cooker and place the idli stand, remove the pressure city and put the lid on it. In 10 minutes the idli will be ready and ready to eat.
